Ex-serviceman Bill ("Digger") Byrne with his Shetland pony "Jimmy" arriving in Martin Place yesterday alter a five-week trip by foot from Melbourne. A married man with eight children, Byrne undertook to do the trip in less than six weeks to win a bet of a new suit. He financed the trip by selling postcards of his pony and dogcart at each town.
