The course, which was overseen by HSC-3s Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Search and Rescue Model Manager (SARMM), was led by representatives from Air Rescue Systems (ARS), and was designed to teach Navy pilots and aircrewmen the physics behind helicopter hoisting, and new techniques in order to conduct safe and efficient dynamic hoisting evolutions.
