Engraving of the Royal Mail Steam-Packet Company's paddle-steamer 'Forth'. Built in Leith in 1841, the 'Forth' went missing between Southampton and the West Indies early in 1841. It was later discovered that she had been wrecked on the Alacranes Reef, Gulf of Mexico, fortunately without loss of life. Date: 1849
