Englishman John Lambert (22) exhibited his porcupine skin disorder, Ichthyosis hystrix, in Leipzig. John was a descendent of Edward Lambert, whose condition was first described by Machin in 1732. Gottlieb Tobias Wilhelm (1758-1811) was a Bavarian clergyman and naturalist known as the German Buffon.
