Efim Mefod'evich Mamontov (1888 - 1922). One of the leaders of the Russian Civil war, partisan movement in the Altai in 1918-19. In October 1919 he was elected commander of a partisan army of Western Siberia. This army took part in the destruction of the Kolchak forces, coordinating its actions with the Red Army. After the Civil War ended in the Altai, Mamontov was appointed assistant inspector of infantry for the Fifth Army. He was killed by kulaks.
