Edersee Dam, a hydroelectric dam on the Eder River, near Waldeck, Germany. Constructed between 1908 and 1914, it was destroyed by bouncing bombs dropped by 617 RAF Squadron on 17 May 1943. It was rebuilt within months by forced labour. early 20th century
