The Duke Leaves Place By Helicopter -- The helicopter flying over the royal standard at Buckingham Palace this morning. After gaining height over the palace ground the helicopter made off for Lambeth Bridge to follow the line of the Thames.The Duke of Edinburgh took off in a Dragonfly helicopter from the lawn in front of the Terrace at Buckingham Palace this Morning to visit the military staff college at Camberley, Surrey. The helicopter was piloted Flt. Lt. A.J . Less. For this trip the Duke was a passenger only. He does not hold The special certificate issued to pilots of these aircraft. June 30, 1954.
