The Drum Carnival In Basle -- The huge weirdly attired figure of the Drum Major leads one of the Drum Clubs during the Carnival procession through the streets of Basle.A feature of the annual Carnival at Basle Switzerland, is the parade of the Drummers. The Baslese fashion of drumming is unique in the whole world and there are about thirty Clubs where this curious "art" is taught all the year round.All practice is carried out on felt pads to ***** the noise but for a month before the carnival, all restrictions are removed and the drummers really let themselves go.
