A drilling crew on the Rough Range No. 1 oil rig in Western Australia examine pieces of a broken drill after a successful "fishing" operation. The men used a magnet to retrieve the broken pieces from a depth of 9,908 feet. The welll is the exploratory one which yielded oil last year. West Australian Petroleum Pty. Ltd. has announced that No. 2 well has failed to produce oil at the horizon at which it was discovered in No. 1 well. August 05, 1954.
