Dr. Ralph P. Creer is preparing an animal eye camera in which he substitutes the eye of a sheep for the regular lens in camera. Photographs can be made using a sheep's eye as a camera lens. The animal eye camera was developed by Dr. Nalph P. Creer, who is on the staff of the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. According to Dr. Creer cameras are often compared to the way a human or animal eye operates. The eye has a lens, a chamber comparable to a bellows, and retina comparable to film. He set out to show that an eye could take pictures. The Armour Research Laboratory in Chicago supplies the animal wyes. Dr. Creer slices off the back of the eye and slips in a little window of ground glass. January 12, 1953.
