"Dictator" painting withdrawn - The painting of dictators which has been withdrawn from exhibition. It shows, centre, the devil holding the heads of Hitler and Mussolini in the scales of the Justice whilst Mr. Chamberlain looks on. Extreme right of picture is the ex-emperor of Ethiopia, and left President Roosevelt behind Mr. Lloyd George. Bottom left are death and refuges and right the British Lion. A large picture of the devil holding the heads of Hitler and Mussolini in the scales of justice whilst leaders of Democracy look on, has been withdrawn from the exhibition of the Royal Society of British artists which will open at the Suffolk Galleries on Saturday, April 22, the painting entitles "Modern Allegory", is the work of Mr. Otway McCannell.
