Streets of Hommoku-machi were gaily decorated and thronaged with crowds of merry makers this morning, in honor of the opening new sexangular sanctuary of the Hasseiden or dedicated temple to eight Sages. The temple was constructed on the elevated land belonging to Mr. Kenzo Adachi, head of Kokumin Domei or Political National League, dedicated to the spirits of the eight sages of the world, Gautama, Confucius, Socrates, Christ, Prince Shotoku, Saint Kobo, Saint Shinran and Saint Nichiren.
