Death by hanging. After spending two years in a Vermont prison, Mrs Mary Mabel Rogers (1883-1905) is hanged for killing her husband, Marcus Rogers, in 1902 -- she takes 14 minutes to die. She was the last woman to be legally executed in Vermont. Date: 8 December 1905
