Coronation Of The Rajah Of Gowa -- The arrival of the Rajah of Gowa. On 25th April, 1947, the coronation of Padoeka Toan Andi Isjo Karaeng Ialolang (Sultan Mohamad Andulkadir Aidid) as the Rajan of Gowa took place amongst those present at the ceremony were the president, Tjokorde Rake Gede Soekawati and his wife, the commissioner of the Crown, Dr. M. Brouwer, all the Ministers of East-Indonesia, Vice-Admiral A.S. Pinke, all navel and army authorities, and officials of the civilian service. Also all the Monarchs of the South Celebes attended, dressed in their official robes. Ten thousand were assembled around the investiture stones, and around which stones a bambo house with a palm leaf roof had been built. The investiture and was performed by three members of the Self-Government of Gowa. June 04, 1947.
