Closing of the Games of the XIVth Olympiad : The Olympic Flame is Extinguished (Centre Background) as members of the Scots guards lower the Olympic Flag during the closing of the games of the XIV Olympiad at Wembley Stadium London, Evening Aug. 14. On the Notice-Board (Background) is the message "The Spirit of the Olympic Games which has tarried here awhile sets forth once more. May it prosper throughout the world safe in the keeping of all those who have felt its noble impulse in this great festival of sport".
