This helmet is fitted with a new form of visor, one of elaborately forged "bellows" shape, whereas the articulated neck lames look back to earlier sallet construction (see acc. no. 29.158.34). The right side of the bevor is struck on the outside with the arms of Nuremberg; inside the same plate is a stamped N within a pearled circle, another Nuremberg control mark.
