Most centers of clockmaking in Central and Eastern Europe lacked the variety of highly skilled craftsmen available in Augsburg, however; thus Augsburg, and to a lesser extent Nürnberg, styles of casemaking appeared there in more modestly executed forms. This clock, although not signed, incorporates characteristics commonly found in Polish clocks.. Clock. Polish, probably Krakow. probably second quarter 17th century, with later additions.
