The desk is of the Chippendale period. The photographs are of the Queen, Queen Mary, Princess Margaret and several of the Duke of Edinburgh, including one taken during the war when he wore a beard. Beyond are photographs taken at the christening of Prince Charles, and a painting of the ballet Le Iac des Cygnes, by Oliver Messel. October 28, 1949.
