Carpet Fragment probably late 14th century This wool carpet fragment is decorated with an angular pattern in blue, green, yellow, and black on a red ground. It contains a band Kufic characters in yellow on a dark blue ground. These fragments from a rug were found at Fustat (old Cairo) in Egypt.
