Captain Robert Falcon Scott pictured with Dr E. A. Wilson pictured together on their first polar expedition (1901 - 4) photographed before departing on a sledging expedition (their loaded sleds can be seen behind them). Wilson was the team's zoologist and artist. He died, along with Scott on their failed attempt to be the first to reach the South Pole in March 1912. Date: 1913
