A bracelet of medallions, with the Queen's head on the centre one. Nearly fifty British firms turning out Coronation souvenirs got a special pat on the back yesterday. Their souvenirs were picked as the "prize winners" among the 800-odd articles already approved by the Coronation Souvenirs Committee of the Council of Industrial Design. The committee has given the fifty firms a special "merit award" - an extra seal which will he fixed to the certificate of approval - because it felt there was such a wide gap between the best souvenirs and those which only just scraped on to the approved list.
