In this street the fur workers were working and they are shown on the banks of the Seine in their work. Meryon inspired himself at a seventeenth century example. On the left is another small piece of the Pont-au-change with buildings on the print and the towers of the Notre Dame are also just visible. These details are an addition of the artist.
