Arms And The Needlewoman -- With painstaking skill, 20-year-old Denise Haystaff of Windsor, Berkshire, works on a needlework coat of arms in the garden of the School of Stitchery and Lace, Bookham, Surrey, there disabled girls from all over the country are trained for careers in needlework. Denise is recuperating after a 'blue baby' operation, and learning to lead a normal life. The School - where the full course lasts three years - has done work for the Princess Royal, the Duchess of Kent, the late Queen Mary and many other connoisseurs of fine needlework. July 27, 1954.
