Arminius, ou les Freres ennemis"" (Arminius, or the Enemy Brothers). Tragicomedy in verse written by French poet and playwright Georges de Scudery (1601-1667). Published in 1644, it is inspired by the story of Arminius (or Hermann the Cheruscan), a Germanic chieftain who inflicted a crushing defeat on the Romans at the Battle of Teutoburg (9 AD).
