Arctic: c. 1929 The late Roald Amundsen's flagship, "The Quest" is icebound in the Arctic as it leads the Norwegian Government Expedition into the northern regions to clear a path for the seal hunters and fishermen. Ninety ships started out but only fifty returned, the others were sunk or crushed by the ice floes.
