Allied Capturer of Mubo. Manhandling on American artillery piece across a creek near Nassau Bay. The guns were hauled through country that was almost impassable. Natives in addition to Australian and American troops were necessary to pull each gun into position. When they opened fire they caused consternation to the Japs, but the exploding shells were like music to the Allied soldiers fighting their way forward through appalling areas. August 4, 1943.
