Norman Metz, loadmaster, and U.S. Army jumpmasters pull static lines back into the aircraft over Allen Army Airfield, Fort Greely, June 15, 2022 during RED FLAG-Alaska 22-2. The static line is a cord attached at one end of the aircraft and at the other to the paratroopers parachute container. RF-A provides realistic combat training by integrating joint, coalition and multilateral forces into simulated forward operating bases. Metz is assigned to the 517th Airlift Squadron and the jumpmaster are assigned to the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 11th Airborne Division respectively.
