About One-Fourth Of Way Out -- The 6,000-ton Texas-tower type structure which will become the first of a series of offshore radar stations in our continental defense system is towed toward permanent location on George's Bank, 100-odd miles off the New England coast. This air-view was made shortly afternoon today about 25 miles east of Cape Cod Light. The man-made island, constructed at Quincy, Mass, moved out of Boston harbor Tuesday morning and is due at its destination at midnight tonight. Tugs are Marion Moran, left, and M. Moran.
