Sculptress at Work; Femme Sculpteur au Travail. Emile Antoine Bourdelle (1861-1929). Bronze with green patina. 50.5cm high. Conceived in 1906; cast at a later date. The model for this sculpture was Cleopatre Sevastos, a Greek pupil of the artist who eventually became his mistress causing him to divorce his first wife Stephanie van Parys.
