Sister Yewagenesh working with her health outreach workers in the slums of the Woreda district of Addis Abba, Ethiopia. She use to be a government employee and now works for HIWOT, a nonprofit founded by another nurse, Sister Tibebe. Sister is the title for nurse. The community workers are from the slums. They work for a year to two as volunteers. If they can stick with it, HIWOT will send them to school for more training. They use culturally appropriate traditions, like the coffee ceremony
