Mozambique, Pemba. Pemba is the capital of the Cabo Delgado Province in the North of Mozambique. It is a relatively modern town by Mozambique coastal standards. The modern town was founded in 1904 as an administrative centre for the NIassa company. The town is situated on the tip of a peninsula on the souther side of Pemba Bay, a huge semi-enclosed natural harbour.
