A group of Dassanech women and children at a village situated close to the Omo River. All the villagers food reserves are stored in semicircular granaries, which are kept well off the ground in case of flooding.The Dassanech speak a language of Eastern Cushitic origin. They live in the Omo Delta and they practice animal husbandry and fishing as well as agriculture.
