Loading the Mail. Loading the Mail onto the tender 'Flying Fish', Queenstown (Cobh) from the 'American Mail Special Train' from Cork. The tender then will load the mail on to RMS Titanic. April 11th 1912. Titanic sank during its maiden voyage to New York after striking an iceberg off the coast of Newfoundland.
