The small village of Dole (pronounced dough-lay) is perched along a sloping hill in the Ngozumpa glacier valley. This viewpoint is obtained after about a week of trekking and another day to the North brings trekkers out of the treeline altogether. Clouds often form in the late afternoon and patience rewards the prepared photographer.
