On the Washington coast portion of the Olympic National Park, nearest town is Kalaloch (or Forks), Beach 4. A rock wall is covered with Ochre Sea Stars (Pisaster ochraceus) all purple except for one bright orange. Along the rock wall are also Edible Mussels (also called Blue Mussels or Bay Mussels and Mytilus edulis in Latin) and gray colored Pacific Goose Barnacles-- Latin name Mitella (Pollicipes) polymerus. Taken at low tide in an area normally submerged.
