Green grapes, vine and leaf of the White or Common Muscadine Grape, Vitis rotundifolia. Hand-colored illustration by Edwin Dalton Smith engraved by F.W. Smith from Charles McIntosh's "Flora and Pomona" 1829. McIntosh (1794-1864) was a Scottish gardener to European aristocracy and royalty, and author of many book on gardening. E.D. Smith was a botanical artist who drew for Robert Sweet, Benjamin Maund, etc.
